The Difference Between Cell Salt 6X and Homeopathic Remedy 6X

Cell salts 6X are typically made from triturating the salt with milk sugar ie 1:10 of salt and a milk sugar, grinding it in mortar to make 1X and then moving up in gradual dilution of 1X - 2X - 3X by adding milk sugar each time until 6X potency is reached. This is then pressed into tablets. This means they contain a relatively higher material dose of the original substance. In contrast, a homeopathic dose (e.g 6X, or higher) involves taking one grain of the 3X triturated powder, dissolving 1gm of this in 10 ml of absolute alcohol to Make 1X and then using that liquid to gradually dilute and success until 6X. This makes it much more dilute but also potentised (by vigorously shaking against a firm surface) in the dynamic sense. Cell salts do have more of the original substance compared to same potency in a homeopathic remedy—and that’s why they are often used when there's a deficiency at the cellular level.

Different brands may vary slightly in tablet size or manufacturing process, but most adhere to pharmacopeia standards, so the differences aren’t usually drastic in terms of effectiveness.

The 6X cell salt works on the law of deficiency. The 6X remedy will be given based on homoeopathic principle. There is  not enough "material" in it to cover deficiency.
